That certainly seems a bit confusing, since Murphy previously tweeted that Blake's character will be based on Ohio. Does this mean Finn is coming home after his military duty and won't be in New York City with Rachel?
There are plenty of ways Ryder and Finn could be connected. Maybe Ryder is the new McKinley High quarterback and Finn takes a job as an assistant coach. Or maybe Ryder gets a job at Burt Hummel's garage. Or maybe Ryder is somehow connected to Finn joining the Army. Blake could definitely play a Finn type character on Glee
